Ed lives and breathes tech. From an early age he’s been pulling apart and putting together computers and gadgets. He is in a unique position where he can leverage his qualifications and experience to provide technical, commercial and legal advice to clients on tech and other matters. Ed has the coveted CIO role at Hudson Gavin Martin where he continues to pull apart and put together all things tech.
Passionate about giving back to the industry, Ed holds and has held board positions for the NZ Software Association, NZ Game Developers Association, and ADLS Technology Law Committee. Ed is also a lecturer for the University of Auckland’s Masters of Entrepreneurship and Commercialisation course, and a judge for the NZ Hi-Tech awards.
Ed is highly recognised in the rankings of leading legal directories. The Legal 500 said Ed’s “commercial IT and IP work was regarded as excellent” by his clients and Chambers and Partners said that “he is praised by peers as an excellent practitioner and a genuine specialist.”
