Josh Ellwood

Law Clerk

Josh delights in working at the frontier of tech and media in Aotearoa. Being entrusted with business developments before the headlines break makes for an energising work environment, especially when his clients aim to transform society.

Josh has particularly enjoyed assisting companies with their consumer and privacy law requirements, helping kiwi consumers maintain trust in their well-loved brands.

Josh has published a couple of articles in NZ international legal journals and was one of Aotearoa’s four youth delegates to APEC Thailand in 2022. Alongside a team at YouthLaw, in 2021, Josh also helped innovate a more supportive process for rangatahi in family law, which was trialled at the Manukau District Court.

Josh has received a University of Auckland Distinguished Graduate Award and a Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Latin America.
